the item appears new, there are not water marks or coffee smell, however the espresso basket (not sure what the right name is, see photos) has some hardwater marks or the beginnings of rust or a reaction of some sort. may be cleanable, may need new part. small imperfection on the top (see photo)

If not descaled with model specific cleaning product, the units may become clogged and will cause potential operational issues.
