There is some presence of dirt, cardboard shavings, dust, etc, and some small stains on the cover of the mattress (see photos), though it is unclear if this is a result of previous ownership or simply storage, shipping and handling. These issues appear purely cosmetic, the cover can come and be washed. please view the photo's attached.
